Few other holiday destinations offer the same wealth of cultural highlights and sporting events as Jochberg and its surrounding area. The year kicks off with the world-famous Hahnenkamm ski race on the Streif downhill course, followed in the spring by the Austrian Open, one of the longest-running ATP tennis tournaments.
During the Kitzbüheler Alpenrallye – one of the most spectacular classic car events in all of Europe – or the Tour of Austria Cycling Race. Bicycles and cars are the main attraction on the roads of the Kitzbühel Alps.
In the summer, fans of popular Austrian singer Hansi Hinterseer can take advantage of the Hansi Hinterseer Fan Weekend to get up close and personal with the famous actor, singer and former ski champion. Thousands of dedicated fans are expected to come in order to listen to the songs of their idol and accompany him on day hikes through the Alps. Finally, there are a number of little cultural treats to enjoy, such as the Steinbach Boogie Woogie & Blues Festival, before Kitzbühel welcomes winter with its annual Christmas market.
